The 2019-2018 Langley Book of the Year campaign has come to an end at Stafford Middle. We had an Ice Cream/Voting Party yesterday to celebrate and cast our votes for the favourite LBOY 2018/2019. Our 5 students who read all 10 books we recognized and Mrs. Rehnby presented them with a $10 gift card. All of Mr. Briscoe's class were invited to party as they were the division who had read the most books and any other Stafford students who had read 3 of the titles were also invited. Our LBOY competition has now wrapped up. It was the LBOY with the most reads ever with 285, and the closest class competition ever. We had 5 students who read all 10 books and who will receive a prize.
This year’s winning class had the same number of reads as their Division number…67. Congratulations to Mr. Briscoe’s class – Division 6-7 – we’ll see you Wednesday Block 6 for your ice cream party. Congratulations also to Division 7-9 (Ms. McArthur) who finished in 2nd place, only 2 reads behind with 65 books read. Any students who have qualified to vote by reading 3 LBOY’s will receive an invitation to the ice cream/voting party from their homeroom teacher. Thank you to all this year’s participants and all that’s left is to choose HD Stafford’s favorite book on Wednesday. |
